The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[09.10.2014 00:00:00] - Come tomorrow to watch the launch of new locomotive of Czech railways, which will roam the track covered in chess motifs (you can find photos of this locomotive below). The launch will take place on first track on Prague Main station at 9:30 AM and it will be held by deputy of CEO of Czech railways Pavel Krtek, CEO of VUZ Antonín Blažek and chief of Prague Chess Society Pavel Matocha.
Not just that the chess locomotive will be pulling the Chess Train 2014 but then you will have the chance to meet it pulling ordinary trains. For many years it will remain a beautiful and big promotion of chess.
For the fourth time, the Chess Train will roam the track of Central Europe and it will get off tomorrow at 10 AM from first track of Prague Main station. The conference carriages of České dráhy, where the Czech government used to meet, will turn into a tournament hall for seventy seven players of twelve round tournament in rapid chess. This years track of the Chess Train is Prague – Wien – Budapest – Trencin – Krakow – Prague.
Among the participants of this five-day tournament is not just a legendary grandmaster Vlastimil Hort, who is defending his victory from last year, but several other grandmasters and also dozens of chess amateurs. There is also a big diversity in nationalities of participants. Besides Czechs, Germans and others central Europeans, in whose countries the Chess train stops, there are also chess players from Australia, USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Sweden and other countries.
The Chess Train is organised by Pražská šachová společnost and it´s general partner is Czech railways.
