Chess Train 2014

Legendary grandmaster Vlastimil Hort will be defending his victory

[07.08.2014 00:00:00] - Australian grandmaster Ian Rogers, international master David Dejf Kaňovský and other ten chess players from the Czech Republic, Sweeden, Russia and Germany have singed themselves to the Chess Train 2014, during July. And now, at the beginning of August even grandmaster Vlastimil Hort has joined us. The legend of Czech chess will be defending his victory from last year.

In the tournament is now signed 51 chess players and 9 other have their places reserved. If we add 20 places which are reserved for the sponsors and partners of the Chess Train 2014, there is just the last fifth of the capacity free. If you want to take place in this extraordinary journey which combines chess tournament with exploring of some of the ancient cities of Central Europe, just do not hesitate with joining.

This is the fourth time that the chess train is being prepared for you by Prague Chess Society in cooperation with the general partner Czech Railways. Other partners and sponsors for this year are Lama Energy, Go Parking, Czech Tourism, JLV, EA Hotels, Phoenix Praha and Franck Provost.
