Former and future Women's World Chess Champion comes to Prague

[16.04.2013 00:00:00] - Hou Yifan, 19-years-old chinese GM, which became the Women's World Chess Champion as 16-years-old, will be the chief guest of the ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2013 festival. She will play a match against the best czech GM David Navara and a simultaneous exhibition in Prague.
The festival starts with the simultaneous exhibition, in the same way as two years ago, when the main guest was the World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand. On Sunday 9th of June at 3 p.m., 30 chess-players will have the opportunity to play against the current No. 2 female player in the world.
From Tuesday 11th until Friday 14th of June, the GM Hou Yifan will play the four games match against GM David Navara. Their games start always at 4 p.m. at Michna Palace in Prague, on Kampa (enter Všehrdova street, or Kampa park using bridge over Čertovka river). All games will be commented for viewers by GM Robert Cvek.
„Chess-players may be also looking forward to the interesting lectures, which will be starting each playing day at 3 p.m. at Michna Palace. I may reveal, that one of the lecturers will be Michael Negele, which will put near the history of blindfold chess,“ says Pavel Matocha, the chairman of arranging Prague Chess Society.
