[09.06.2013 00:00:00] - Chinese GM Hou Yifan arrived today in Prague, where she's going to face a simultaneous against twenty rivals and a match on four games with the best Czech chess-player David Navara. 19-years-old Hou Yifan became a World Champion as 16-years-old and at this moment she is the second best woman chess-player on world ranking.
She used the advantage of beautiful Saturday weather for a walk across the Prague Castle and Lesser Town. On Sunday, she's got on her programme a simultaneous, in which her opponents will be also the mayor of Prague 1 Oldřich Lomecký, several managers of ČEZ group (Jan Klaus, Jiří Pačovský, Libor Kičmer and Peter Szenasy), the headmaster of grammar school PORG Václav Klaus and also three winners of contest from Prague chess society website (Patrik Milat, Marian Varga and Vladimír Škreňo).
The simultaneous will take place at 3 p.m. in Gallery 1 in centre of Prague (Štěpánská 47) with free access for public.
Chess festival ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2013 will move then to its old mansion in Michna palace on Kampa, where a match on four serious games (rated to ELO) will be played from Tuesday to Friday between Hou Yifan and David Navara. The games will be commented for public in hall by GM Robert Cvek. For chess fans, which can't make it to Prague because of the distance, an online transmission will be prepared.
Except the match of GMs, the public on Kampa can look forward to Chess in heraldry exhibiton, a quiz of GM Vlastimil Hort and interesting lectures. On Wednesday Michael Negele brings near the history and psychology of blindfold chess and on Friday GM Robert Cvek recommends, how to get better in chess.
