The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[09.10.2020] - The legend of British chess, the challenger of world champion Kasparov and the current vice-president of FIDE Nigel Short will be a guest of the 18th year of the Prague Chess Festival organized by Pavel Matocha.
Grandmaster Short (55 years old) will compete in a 10 games match in rapid chess with the youngest Czech Grandmaster Thai Dai Van Nguyen (18 years old) from Saturday 10 October to Monday 12 October in the beautiful hall of the Municipal House in Prague.

[12.10.2019] - The Chess Train is dropping us off at the railway station in Karlovy Vary, the sun is appearing, and we are expecting to have a wonderful weather all the way. As in previous years. [12.10.2019] - Minister of Transport Vladimír Kremlík and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček opened the ninth year of the Chess Train today. Both Ministers, under whose patronage this year's Chess Train goes, attended its ceremonial departure.
Along with the Ministers, the Deputy of General Director of the Czech Railways Patrik Horný, the General Director of SŽDC Jiří Svoboda and the General Director of JLV Bohumír Bárta were present at the opening ceremony at the Prague Main Station Government Lounge.

[08.10.2019] - For the ninth time this Friday, the Chess Train will start its 5-day Central European ride, with an international chess tournament on board, where about 100 chessplayers and their friends from more than twenty countries participate.
The Chess Train 2019 is held under the auspices of the Minister of Transport Vladimír Kremlík and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček, who will attend its ceremonial departure from Prague Main Station on Friday 11 October. [27.06.2019] - The ceremonial first move of the last festival day was made by Vlastimil Ježek, the chairman of the Municipal House, and soon after that, bloody battles flared up. All of the Wednesday games ended in a decisive way. Both Ding Liren and Thai Dai Van Nguyen defeated their opponents 3: 0 the last day, confirming their leadership and deservingly winning the trophies of the 2019 Chess Festival winner.
