Chess Train 2016

(October 2016, Prague – Regensburg – Innsbruck – Salzburg – Český Krumlov - Prague)
The Chess Train 2016 will travel on the route Prague – Regensburg (Germany) – Innsbruck (Austria) - Salzburg (Austria) – Český Krumlov (Czech Republic) – Prague from 7th to 11th of October.
An 10-round rapid chess tournament will be held on board of the train during the journey among the cities.

If you would like to join in this unique event, don’t hesitate to register (at prazska.sachova@gmail.com). The number of seats on the train is limited, unlike the number of applicants from all over the world; last year, there were 120 chess players from 19 countries from all over the world on board of the Chess Train and the capacity was full already in July).
The seat on board of the Chess Train is EUR 199, the seat for accompanying passengers is EUR 149. Accommodation can be booked through the organiser in the selected 3-star hotels or by individual booking.

Navara vs. Rapport - ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2016

The chess match between the World Junior Champion Richard Rapport and the best Czech chess player David Navara will be the main event of this year’s CEZ CHESS TROPHY 2016, which will be held in Prague from the 3rd until the 8th of June. The grandmasters will be competing in a match of 4 standard games in the classic tempo (counted to ELO) and the match will be commentated on by experienced GMs. The festival will be accompanied by a rich programme (blindfold chess, living chess, simuls, talks, exhibitions and a Chess Train movie premiere).
If you would like to take part in the simul with the World Junior Champion GM Richard Rapport on Friday the 3rd of June, you can register at prazska.sachova@gmail.com (the fee is EUR 80).
If you would like to take part in the blindfold simul with GM Timur Gareyev on Sunday the 5th of June (who will be trying to break the world record in this discipline in December in Prague), you can register at prazska.sachova@gmail.com (the fee is EUR 120).
