ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)
The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

Chess Train 2012
The best Czech women chess player and the legendary Slovak grandmaster on the board
[01.08.2012 00:00:00] - The best Czech women chess player Kristyna Havlikova and the legendary Slovak grandmaster Jan Plachetka will travel in the Chess Train 2012. Also grandmaster Martin Petr, director of PORG Vaclav Klaus, director of Dopravni stavby Brno Vlastimil Chladek, chairman of supervisory board of Phoenix Zeppelin Josef Mixa or the boss of Ingem Jan Michalek will take part in this rapid chess tournament.
More than 40 chessplayers have already applied to the Chess Train 2012, among them are players from Czech Republic, USA, Russia, China, Germany, Finland, Slovakia and Poland. If you would like to take part in this special event, you can register here.
The train will go the round trip Prague – Dresden – Wroclaw – Piestany – Vienna - Prague in October 12th – 16th, 2012. The chess tournament will be played in the train. Afternoons and evenings are free for sightseeing of the cities. Participants will sleep in nice hotels.
