ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)

The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book. The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark. On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

Chess Train 2017

Everything ready, check the web and sign up, before it´s too late

[16.02.2017 00:00:00] - If you want to secure place in train, which will be going on the route Prague – Olomouc – Trencn – Bratislava – Lednice – Prague from 13 till 17 October, do not hesitate and register as soon as possible! You will play nine-round rapid chess tournament on train, in the mornings and evenings you will be able to visit several beautiful towns and in addition you can expect a few surprises and news.

This week Prague Chess Society opened webpage of Chess Train 2017, where you can find all needed information. This includes for instance hotels in three categories (standard, superior and luxury), where you can book accommodation via our agent. For switching to webpage of Chess Train 2017 click here.

The tournament on the board of Chess Train, which is organized by Prague Chess Society, and which general partner is České Dráhy (Czech Railways), is perhaps the only tournament on which your wife will be happy to accompany you. During the Chess Train tournament chess are played only on board of the train, while non-chessplayer can be comfortable seated in 1st class carriage and to read a book and once the train stops in destination towns, you can together admire their beauty and to enjoy local food and drinks.
