Stamps collecting has always been shrouded in a mystery associated with the discovery of new countries on the map and the identification of those missing. It was a source of edification and education.
Thematic philately deals with a precisely defined motive, in this case it deals with a chess motive. Collectors are interested not only in stamps, but especially in the occasional postage stamps, issued on the occasion of chess matches, tournaments and events. We are going to learn about the history of chess philately. We'll tell you when and where appeared the first chess stamps and which chess stamps and postage stamps belong to the greatest unique and are valuable to collectors.
What about the issue of chess stamps in the Czech Republic? How did rarities come up? We will browse through the history of the various curiosities and we will speak about a few interesting stories. Perhaps you will like it and you will enter the number of those who have fallen under the spell of chess philately. But do not worry, collecting is not only a source of entertainment, but edification. And you can explain it to your wife, simply argue that it is better to be interested in collecting at home than in drinking a beer in the pub!
