Highlights of this year

[15.09.2014 00:00:00] - Even every music album has one or two hits and every event has some highlight. And so has the Chess Train...
For the players during the tournament in the Chess Train it is usually the game and also meeting with grandmasters (for this year it is supposed to have five of them on the board so that a chance to talk or play with them would be quite big) and in dining carriage it used to be a fried steak with potato salad. But the Chess train is also a trip over five beautiful cities of Central Europe and so we prepared this list of their enticements.
Wien... The exhibition of Joan Miró in Albertina museum and tafelspitz for dinner in Plachutta restaurant.
Budapest... A chess game in pool in famous Szechenyi spa or at the end of railway on Keleti station.
Trencin... Ancient castle over the river Vah and beautiful Slovak girls.
Krakow... The old town market with plenty of obscure chess sets and Wawel hill with its castle and cathedral, from where the pope Jan Pavel II went to Vatican.
Prague... Great beer in the restaurant U Pinkasů and the cubist cafe Grand Cafe Orient in the House of Black Madonna, where grandmasters David Navara and Pentala Harikrishna played on the beautiful cubist chess set.
